The snow guarantee gives you the comfort of booking early while not having to worry about if there will be snow at the resort. All our snow gun systems will also help nature on its way so that we can open the entire resorts as early as possible.
The snow guarantee means that in case the destinations fail to comply with the respective minimum requirements below, you can choose not to travel to the destination that you have booked. The guest will be refunded the money paid for the booking. Information about whether the snow guarantee has been triggered or not will be published on skistar.com two days prior to arrival, no later than at 15.00 CET. The snow guarantee is applicable when the conditions below fail to be met. The snow guarantee does not apply to temporarily closed lifts and/or pistes, due to technical problems or bad weather.
Åre A minimum of 10 pistes shall be open during the period 12 December 2008 to 1 May 2009. The destination Åre includes the resorts Åre Björnen, Åre By and Duved. Read more on skistar.com/are
Trysil Step 1 A minimum of 8 km of pistes and 620 m vertical shall be open during the periods 15 November -12 December and 20 April to 1 May. Step 2 A minimum of 20 km of pistes and 620 m vertical shall be open during the period 13 December 2008 to 19 April 2009. Read more on skistar.com/trysil
Hemsedal A minimum of 5 km of pistes and 710 m vertical shall be open during the period 15 November 2008 to 1 May 2009. Read more on skistar.com/hemsedal
Sälen A minimum of 15 pistes shall be open during the period 15 November 2008 to 1 May 2009. The destination Sälen includes the resorts Lindvallen, Högfjället, Tandådalen and Hundfjället. Read more on skistar.com/salen
