In our parks and arenas there are jumps, rails and boxes and other challenges at every level. Respect and follow the special rules that apply to these areas, and always follow signs and instructions.
Sälen has park areas for all ages and levels. In our parks there are jumps, rails and boxes in all manner of variations.
Tandådalen Super Park
Tandådalen has one of Sweden’s biggest parks with a wide range of jumps, boxes and rails: Tandådalen Super Park. Super Park has a long red line, tough rails, boxes, jumps, kickers and much more. Super Park is aimed mostly at experienced skiers.
A fun, new feature for the coming season (13/14) is ‘Feature of the Week’. Every Sunday, park hosts and piste machine drivers build a new and unique feature which lasts for just one week.
Super Park is located here.
The park is located in the Norra area, which is between west and east Tandådalen. You can either get here with the Panorma Express or Parliften from west Tandådalen. If you are coming from east Tandådalen, it is most convenient to take the Pulsen Express and then the summit lift (transport lift to the summit). Then follow the signs to Super Park.
Tandådalen Junior Park
Tandådalen Junior Park is a beginner’s park which offers considerably easier features than Super Park. Here, you have a wicked time on slightly lower and gentler small jibs.
Jumps, rails and other features are categorised as blue and green.
Junior Park is located here
Tandådalen Junior Park is located to the right of Super Park, if you stand facing the slope. Junior Park has its own button lift called Kalven.
Tandådalen – Big Air Arena
Big Air Arena in Tandådalen is the first jump we build for the season, and is used regularly by different teams. It is one of Jon Olsson’s favourite jumps.
Big Air Arena is always built with a little stepdown, and with good height and airtime. It’s a perfect arena for every double flipper, and for those of you who want to jump big. Platån is approximately 13–14 metres, and the landing is big and quite steep to minimise the risk of injury. The jump is categorised as black and it’s a great arena for the advanced skier!
The arena is open as long as the lifts are open as it is equipped with lighting that often gives a better and stronger light than actual daylight.
Big Air Arena is located to the left of Stora Backen.
Lindvallen Pink Park
Lindvallen Pink Park has park skiing for both beginners and experienced skiers. The easier Family Park is close by. The park has difficulty levels from blue (easy) to red (medium). Pink Park is divided into a blue and red level with a few different lines. There are some 40 rails and 10 jumps in various sizes, plus a whole load of other fun features.
Pink Park Skate Area is located below Gustavbacken – an oasis for anyone who enjoys skating and hanging out with like-minded people.
Pink Park is located here
Lindvallen Pink Park is located skier’s left of the Gustav III chairlift. You can see it clearly to your right when you take the eight-seat Gustav III chairlift (Gustav the third) up to the summit of Lindvallen.
By the side of the park there is both a button and T-bar lift, which are perfect if you really want to go for it in the park.
Lindvallen – Family Park
If you’ve never tried out park skiing, then we can certainly recommend our green Family Park – it’s perfect for beginners!
It is our easiest park and is located skier’s left of Pink Park in Kallebacken. Here, you find rail and jump lines, and boxes of different heights and widths.
Högfjället Mini Park
Högfjället Mini Park is a smaller park with easy jumps, rails and boxes. It’s just right for those of you who are curious and want to try park skiing without any stress.
Högfjället Mini Park is located to the right of the Vargen T-bar lift when you stand facing the slope, between Åsa and Mats slopes.
