This is Vemdalen's snow guarantee for the 2012/2013 season:
During the period 21 December 2012–21 April 2013, we guarantee our guests access to at least 26 open descents and at least 300 meters of vertical descent in one run. The guarantee covers Vemdalen's three ski areas; Björnrike, Vemdalsskalet and Klövsjö/Storhogna. In other words, it applies to almost half our network of 54 pistes.
We are able to offer this generous guarantee because we have unusually good conditions for snow-assured winters. The combination of high elevation and an inland climate results in winters during which the thermometer consistently shows temperatures below freezing. This, in turn, means many heavy snowfalls during the season.
We also give ourselves a huge helping hand. Our snow-making system is upgraded and expanded before each season. Therefore, you can always feel safe when choosing Vemdalen. We have snow. You can count on it.
