When the youngest members of the family are enjoying themselves, you know that the holiday is a success. In Trysil we have three large and enjoyable children's areas, where the youngest skiers can have a great time in a safe and exciting environment. Something new and exciting happens all the time, and the Smottene (The Nooks) are always up to something fun with the children.
Child friendly slopes
The children’s areas in Trysilfjellet are located at Trysil Turistsenter, Trysil Høyfjellssenter and Skihytta.
Nine lifts and a selection of child friendly slopes with jumps, turn figures and elements will make skiing in Trysilfjellet a great experience for the youngest members of the family.

Trysil Turistsenter:
Eventyr at Trysil Turistsenter is the largest area for children. Here you find three button lifts; Eventyr 1, Eventyr 2 and Fryvil. These lifts are easy to handle for children and adults. In Eventyr you will also find a "magic carpet", a small snow park with turn figures and rails, a forest trail "Smottemilskogen", turn figures in the slopes, igloos and a toboggan slope.
There are of course toilettes, a warming hut, a small cafeteria, a barbeque area, and several places to sit down and relax.

The children's area at Trysil Turistsenter is easy accessible for the whole family, with parking possibilities close to the Ski pass sales.
Trysil Høyfjellssenter:
You will find Smottenes home, Gammelgård, also called Bygone farm, at Trysil Høyfjellssenter in Fageråsen. Here we arrange activities every day throughout the season, and you can see how Smottene live in Trysil.
The lifts Smotten, Isiz and Stjerna will bring the children safe to the top of the slopes, and on their way down they can ski through a forest trail and see a talkative blue tree and a crazy crow! You can also ski past funny figures, and listen to what they have to say.
In the children's area you will find a toboggan slope, toilettes and warming hut. New this season is the Smotte play on Children's super Thursday at Gammelgård.
The children's area at Trysil Høyfjellssenter is easy accessible for the whole family.
Skihytta:
Close to Skihytta, a restaurant located by the treeline on the south side of Trysilfjellet, you will find the children's area with the same name. The children's area "Skihytta" has one lift and one slope.
The button lift Bamse takes the you to the top of the slope. The slope is 365m long, and you can ski between turn figures and igloos. A cosy barbeque hut close to the lift is the perfect place to have a break.
The children's area is easy accessible for the whole family, with parking possibilities close to the lift.
