W. 38 Salomon Trail Tour Sälen

Salomon Trail Tour will be in Sälen 21 September. The routes are still a secret, but a varied run in exciting mountain surroundings is promised.  Welcome to a real runner’s party!

Trail running is an exciting form of exercise with both mental and physical challenges. The soft and uneven surface helps improve balance and coordination. This is why trail running is more gentle on the knees and joints than, for example, running on asphalt.

The nature in Sälenfjällen offers tremendous opportunities for challenging running at every level. Steep hills, slippery gangways that wind over wet mires and thick forests with narrow, tricky paths make up just one part of the terrain in store for runners visiting Sälen. There are also scooter and walking trails, and skiing and cycling trails all over Sälenfjällen which are suitable for running.

21 September, the Salomon Trail Tour is coming to Sälen. Participants can choose from three different distances and a large number of classes. In 2011, some 20,000 runners lined up at the start for some of the races, and the organisers are predicting even more for 2013. Saturday 21 September is the actual competition day when all the races take place. Other than this, the weekend offers a recharging meal, lectures, after run and a big Trail Tour party.

Lace up your shoes, follow your nose and let the adventure begin!
