Welcome to Children’s Sälen!
In children’s Sälen you will find ski slopes with children’s and adventure areas, restaurants with children’s menus and play rooms, heated shelters and lots of activities for young children both indoors and outdoors. In Lindvallen/Högfjället you can find Valle’s World and Vintra the troll has just moved into Trollskogen in Tandådalen/Hundfjället. More mischief will soon be appearing on these pages, so keep your eyes peeled! Below, we have gathered some of this season’s new introductions in Sälen focusing on our smallest guests. Welcome to seriously fun skiing in Sälen.
Children’s alpine skiing package – SEK 195/week
For the 2011-212 season we have substantially lowered the price of our alpine skiing package for children aged 0-7. For SEK 195 you can rent a complete set of alpine equipment (skis, poles, ski boots, helmet) for 6-8 days.

Hundfjället conjures up more skiing and adventures
The troll concept is developed further in Hundfjället and Trollens Snölekland (the troll’s snow playworld) opens. The play world will inspire children with skiing, playing and snow challenges combined with child care. Our pram baby sitting will continue as normal, where sleeping children from the age of three months are watched in their prams. Our guests can test the new fairy-tale skiing in Trollskogen aided by adventure lighting using over 100 LEDs which twinkle and change colour – very atmospheric as darkness falls.
Vintra moves into Trollskogen
The population in Trollskogen increases just in time for the start of the season when Vintra the troll moves in. During the day, Vintra enjoys skiing, playing and causing mischief with children out on the slopes. She also sometimes steps in as a lift helper.
New ski area in Hundfjället
A new children’s ski area is being created next to Trolliften in Hundfjället. A new 350 m long button lift called ‘Vintra's lift’. The lift makes a completely new adventure area possible, Vintraskogen (Vintra Forest), which includes exciting forest islands and height differences.
New adventure area in Lindvallen
A new adventure park for children of all ages is being built above Gustavstorget, with fun jumps and rails. Slightly further down the adventure park, Snögubbeborg is being converted into Valletorget where Valle and his friends will offer theatre from their own little stage with fun and games every day.
