You can use the ski pass card again and again and again …
You keep your ski pass and load it with skiing credit via the website before each trip you make to a SkiStar destination (Sälen, Vemdalen, Åre, Trysil, Hemsedal or Hammarbybacken). You can keep using the same card for several years in a row. The ski pass card is a SKI*DIRECT card.
Lost card guarantee
You receive an individual card with a "lost card guarantee". Should you lose this card during your stay, the ski pass system allows us to put the remainder of your skiing period on a new card. Please note that you must always write down your card number (SKI*DIRECT number). A new card costs SEK 45.
Save money by pre-booking online
If you pre-book your ski pass online at skistar.com you pay lower prices per skiing day than if you load your card with credit on site.
The last day to buy a new ski pass online is 12 days before arrival. If you already have a ski pass card you can charge it up to one day before arrival in our online booking system. This means that you can charge your card up to 23.59 (one minute to midnight) the day before you go out to ski.
1-12 days prior to arrival
You can buy Ski Pass online 1-12 days before arrival, but must then retrieve it on arrival. The day before the first day of validity, you get a text message with the confirmation number for collecting your Ski Pass in any Skistarshop.
Ski pass sales on site in Sälen
You save both money and time by buying your ski pass here at skistar.com. The ski pass is charged and ready when you arrive and you can head for the slopes straight away (you don't have to queue at the SkiPass till). If you would prefer to buy your ski pass on site in Sälen, then that's fine too. Ski passes can be purchased on site next to the ski slopes and at our guest service desks and receptions.
Age limits
- Children 0-7 (ski for free if they have helmets, otherwise youth price)
- Youth 8-15
- Adult 16-64
- Senior citizens 65+ (same prices as youth)
Times and periods
We have ski passes that are valid for different periods, from single sessions to a whole season. Buy our 6-8 day ski pass and get eight days of skiing for the price of six, see the price list.
Morning ski passes are valid between 9 am and 12.30 pm. Afternoon ski passes are valid from 12 pm until the lifts close.
With day passes and multi-day passes, skiing from 4 pm is included on the day before the card is actually valid.
First ski session
When you pass by the ski pass reader for the first time, it may take up to 30 seconds before the gate opens.
Other information
- All ski passes are individual except the parent pass which can be shared between two parents or guardians.
- A photo is only mandatory on season passes and ski passes for optional days.
- The season passes are valid for use in all our resorts – Lindvallen, Högfjället, Tandådalen and Hundfjället.
- It is possible to upgrade a ski pass for Lindvallen/Högfjället or Tandådalen/Hundfjället to a Sälen*pass (valid at Lindvallen, Högfjället, Tandådalen and Hundfjället). Please note that you can't upgrade a SkiPass which is included in a package.
- It is not possible to extend the number of days, instead you have to charge your ski pass for the number of extra days you want to ski according to the standard price list for a new ski pass (not by adding the difference).
- All our ski passes except the parent pass are individual, which means you always need your own ski pass card (does not apply to children under the age of 8).
- It is not possible to load credit for several people to the same ski pass card.
