With its northern, high location of 625–1920 m above sea level, Hemsedal is a ski destination with guaranteed snow during its season from November until May. Hemsedal is also easy to get to from Norway's two largest cities, Oslo and Bergen, with good bus connections and a transfer bus from Oslo Airport Gardemoen several days a week. From the 2013/14 season, Hemsedal will also be more strongly linked to Europe with direct charter flights to Fagernes Airport Leirin.
Hemsedal offers many great snowboarding and skiing experiences with a total of 52 well-prepped slopes, 24 lifts, four terrain parks, a ski cross arena, children's passes and a large children's area for our younger visitors. Both experienced and novice, young and old skiers love Hemsedal, where everyone has their favorite slope.
At Hemsedal you also get a lot of skiing for your money. Opening hours are from 09:00 to 16:30 throughout the entire six-month season, as well as evening skiing and morning skiing several days a week. Last year, free evening skiing and morning skiing was introduced for everyone with SkiPasses valid for one day or longer. This was an immediate success which will be continued in the 2013/14 season. The upgrading of our snow system will also ensure the quicker opening of several slopes and even better skiing early in the season.
