Åreskutan hike – take the lift to a hike in the mountains

Take the lift to the peak and enjoy the mountains in the summer! Let your legs dangle from the chairlift, “float” up the mountain in a cable car, or take a ride on the century-old Bergbanan. Breathe in the fresh mountain air, admire the view and immerse yourself in the silence.

The system of lifts makes the mountains accessible to everyone – even in the summer. Hiking need not mean steep uphill slogs, freeze-dried provisions and heavy packs. With the help of the lifts, you can access the high mountain reaches and then choose which way to go.

We have routes that are easy enough to walk with a push-chair or a pram, as well as tougher trails that challenge the thigh muscles. Take a well-earned break by a babbling brook or a peaceful mountain lake. There are barbecue facilities at a number of delightful spots in the mountains. Or you can fill up with extra energy at Fjällgården, Hyddan, Stormköket or Toppstugan.

Do you want to have your own guide to compliment your hiking is the cost 950 sek per half-day. Guide can be booked at SkiStarshop at Åre Square.

P.S. You can “cheat” on most of the trails by taking an extra lift ride.
