Cross Country Skiing
In the Åre mountains, the ski terrain varies to accommodate every taste and weather. From shielded spruce forests, sunny slopes covered with Arctic birch, to bogs and the bare mountainregion. From the frist staggering attempts in the exercise tracks, to week-long excursions in the wilderness, staying overnight in mountain lodges
Duved
The profile of the track has approx. 100 meter level difference of the 10 km track and 150 meters of the 15 km track. You can start your skiing fråm parkinglots in the Duved village center or frpm the track center 300 meters west of Hamre skilift.
Technology Training / sprint track
The 400 meter long track consists of curves, bumps and short but steep hills.
Located 200 meters from the track center (Hamrelia) and is lit each day until 22:00.
Ullådalen (from 1st february)
Ullådalen is the starting point for the best ski trips, but also has two loops which are prepared from 1 February. The area between Åreskutan and Mullfjället is safe snow mountain terrain and offers wonderful mountain views, beautiful sunny days, but sometimes the harsh mountain weather. Dress for skiing in the mountains adapted to the prevailing weather.
The Ullådal area can be accessed via car to Ullådal cottage or with the ski lift from Tegefjäll up to 800 meters above sea level and then slide down the length of the tracks. You can also take the ski bus from Åre Åre to Rödkullen which is adjacent to Ullådalen.
Åre Björnen
Snow safe cross-country skiing in sheltered forest terrain. Parking at Åre Ski Center
in Björnen. The tracks are based by the parking lots north of the skilift "Vargliften.
The profile of the track has about 60 meters level difference regardless of track length.
It is also possible to combine different tracks to vary skiing and create your own loop

Exercise tracks are chargeable. Track fee goes to Spår & Leder, who trails. Anders and Sixten ensures that the tracks are clear every day, no later than at 09.30. For them to be able to keep the tracks in good condition takes a lot of jobs and resources, both during the season and before the season. We therefore ask that you pay the track fee, so that we can continue to prepare fine cross country tracks for you and all the other skiers.
